Council tax, the year ahead
Council tax 2027/28: not yet set
No council in England, Scotland or Wales has a published 2027/28 charge on this site yet. This page says when the official figures are due and what will appear when they are published.
This site shows no projected, typical or estimated 2027/28 charge for any council or band. Charges for 2026/27 remain on each council's page until the official 2027/28 tables are published and checked.
England
Each billing authority sets its council tax for the year. Under the Local Government Finance Act 1992, council tax for 2027/28 must be set before 11 March 2027.
Any amount must be set before 11th March in the financial year preceding that for which it is set, but is not invalid merely because it is set on or after that date.
